Dear
Educator:
We
wish you nothing but the best this upcoming school year with all of the
responsibilities you have. For those who
have taken field trips to St. Augustine in the past and plan to do so again this
year, we thank you for your continued interest in our wonderful city. We
hope that we can help contribute to another successful school year for you. If you have never visited St. Augustine or if
this is your first year planning your school’s field trip, then perhaps these
frequently asked questions will help you in your decision-making:
1. Why take my students to
St. Augustine?
As the
nation’s oldest permanently-inhabited city of European origin, St. Augustine has
over 450 years of history and culture to share.
The town is quaint and the people are accommodating. Most schools that come here make it an
annual tradition that their students look forward to.
2. Why use Tour Saint
Augustine versus planning the whole trip myself?
When you
allow Tour Saint Augustine to host your school, you have a wealth of knowledge
and experience available from a staff that will go the extra mile to make sure
that you have a great time. We have been hosting school groups longer than
anyone in the area. We take care of all your bookings and prepare an itinerary.
Our experience allows us to overcome any challenges that can arise throughout
your trip. Our guides have undergone background checks and are licensed by the
city of St. Augustine. Our guides will be with you throughout the day, which
will enhance the educational and entertainment value of your trip. Simply put: We do all the work; you have all the
fun!
3. How much does a field trip cost for my
students?
Prices
can start as low as $20 for a day trip and $89 for an overnight trip (based on 4
to a room). Price excludes
transportation. Teachers receive
complimentary tours.
4. What will we do when we
go to St. Augustine?
We
recognize that every school is unique and so we plan custom tours to meet your
needs whether it is budget or specific interests.
5. When should I visit St.
Augustine?
It is
always a good time to bring your school to St. Augustine. If you want to avoid
the crowds then visit us from September – February. The weather is beautiful that time of year
and right now it is the best-kept secret in town. Mid-March through mid-May is the peak season.
If you want to come during that time we encourage you to plan as soon as
possible. Regardless of when you plan on visiting and how many people you are
bringing you will get a great trip with Tour Saint Augustine.
6.
